This is part of what it takes to make the MSD ignition system work. This is for high performance. It gives more spark energy and power, quickens throttle response, improves idle and starting, increases economy and gives superior performance. We installed this system on our 1949 Chevrolet coupe with 292 inline six, the one people think has a V8. Far superior performance to HEI, let alone points and condensor.
